The Washington Commanders are coming off a surprising season in 2024 that included rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels leading them to the NFC Championship game.

With new acquisitions coming in to build around the former No. 2 overall pick, the Commanders are preparing for another season full of success.

Washington was able to trade for former San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel after the 29-year-old requested a trade, while also adding tackle Laremy Tunsil to bolster the offensive line.

Things are starting to come together as the team will continue into 2025 with wide receiver Terry McLaurin also coming off a career year.

Well, he may play for the Commanders next season, but McLaurin seems to be unhappy with his current situation with the team.

According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Terry McLaurin "has made it clear to the team that he's frustrated with the lack of progress on a long-term deal. McLaurin unexpectedly left voluntary workouts after initially intending, and it remains to be seen whether he'll report for mandatory minicamp."

McLaurin is heading into his final year under contract with the Commanders and is showing that he believes he deserves an extension in order to continue playing in Washington.

The 2024 Second-Team All-Pro is coming off of a career year, catching 82 balls for 1,096 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns.

After signing a three-year extension in 2022 that's worth $68.3 million, McLaurin is ready to be offered another contract to solidify is future with the Commanders.

It seems to be an interesting topic as McLaurin was a key factor to quarterback Jayden Daniels' highly successful rookie season.

Mandatory minicamp begins on June 10, and with an expiring contract, Terry McLaurin could be on the verge of missing the start of it and will be getting fined for not attending.
