The Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs played another instant classic against one another last Sunday.

The Bills were up 7-0 after the first quarter before taking a 21-13 lead into halftime. They held the Chiefs to only eight points in the second half and emerged with a 28-21 win to get to 6-2 overall.

Bills quarterback Josh Allen finished the game with 273 yards through the air and a touchdown, while Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had 250 yards, no touchdowns, and an interception.

It wasn't his best game, and ESPN's Eric Moody pointed out that the Bills forced him to hold the ball longer than he likes. Before Sunday's game, Mahomes had an average time to throw of 2.61 seconds, but it was 3.37 seconds against the Bills.

This is something other teams could try to exploit when they play the Chiefs this season. Sunday's loss dropped the Chiefs to 5-4 overall, good for third in the AFC West. There's a real chance they'll have to go on the road to start the playoffs, assuming they get in.

Mahomes has started in all nine games for the Chiefs this season, compiling 2,349 yards through the air, 17 touchdowns, and only five interceptions.

The Chiefs have their bye week this Sunday before they head to Denver to take on the Broncos on Nov. 16. It will be a major showdown, as the Chiefs try to chase down the Broncos for first place in the AFC West.

Kickoff will be at 4:25 p.m. ET.
