Week 1 of the NFL season is here, and like the late great Brodie Lee would always say, “You know what that means.” It’s time to make week 1 picks for Confidence pools. Confidence Pools can be super challenging to navigate, but they are super enjoyable once you know what to do. With Week 1 of the NFL season, it is a super challenging week to start as a ton of picks rely on what we believe instead of know about a team.

How To Play In Confidence Pools

For those brave souls diving into confidence pools this season, you’re essentially betting on which teams won’t find creative ways to break your heart. You rank all 16 games by how confident you feel about each pick – 16 points for your “lock of the century” down to 1 point for that game where you’re basically flipping a coin and praying.

Here’s the thing about confidence in the NFL: it’s about as reliable as a weather forecast in Chicago.

The Reality Check

Remember, confidence pools are about as predictable as your ex’s mood swings. These picks are educated guesses wrapped in hope and seasoned with years of football trauma. The beauty of Week 1 is that everyone starts 0-0, and by Week 2, half these predictions will look as ridiculous as wearing shorts in a blizzard.

But that’s why we love this beautiful disaster of a sport. Every Sunday brings new hope, fresh disappointment, and the eternal optimism that maybe, just maybe, your confidence picks won’t completely implode by halftime. Good luck, and remember – it’s not about being right, it’s about being less wrong than everyone else in your pool.
