Via JoeBucsFan,

We did [kick the tires] on [Trey Hendrickson]. We kicked the tires on a lot of things. You know, we had to make a decision on — we’ve got future flexiblity, draft picks. Ultimately we decided not to pull the trigger.

The Buccaneers ended up with Al-Quadin Muhammad, a veteran edge rusher from the Lions, whose notable 2025 season included 11 sacks. Muhammad was signed to a one-year contract, valued at a maximum of $6 million.
