The Dallas Cowboys are looking to bounce back from a disappointing 7-10 season, one that fell apart after Dak Prescott’s mid-season injury.
With an offense that struggled down the stretch, adding firepower at wide receiver has been a key focus this offseason. One name that quickly became linked to Dallas was former Los Angeles Rams star Cooper Kupp, who was recently released after spending eight years with the franchise.
The Cowboys reportedly made a push for the veteran, but a new update suggests that Kupp may not be heading to Dallas after all.
“While the Cowboys made what one source described as ‘a push’ for Cooper Kupp, they still are not considered the likely landing spot for the former Rams wide receiver,” Adam Schefter reported on X.

Kupp’s release came after a season in which he battled injuries but still managed to put up solid numbers, finishing with 67 receptions, 710 yards, and six touchdowns in 12 games.
Over his time with the Rams, he cemented himself as one of the most reliable wideouts in the league, totaling 7,776 receiving yards and 57 touchdowns. His 2021 campaign remains one of the best single seasons for a receiver in NFL history, as he led the league in catches, yards, and touchdowns while earning Super Bowl LVI MVP honors.
While Dallas would have benefited from adding Kupp alongside CeeDee Lamb, it appears they’ll have to look elsewhere.
Other teams, including the New Orleans Saints, Seattle Seahawks, Minnesota Vikings, and Green Bay Packers, have also been linked to the veteran wideout, meaning Kupp’s next destination is still very much up in the air.
