Corliss Waitman lost his jersey number to one quarterback, so he has turned to another former quarterback for his new number.
Waitman, who is a punter for the Pittsburgh Steelers, was wearing jersey No. 8 for the Steelers as of Thursday. However, Aaron Rodgers signed with the team and officially will be wearing No. 8. The Steelers shared a photo on X of Rodgers wearing a Steelers jersey with the number 8. They also had a magic 8 ball emoji on their post.

Rodgers wearing No. 8 means Waitman must have given permission to the veteran quarterback to have the number instead.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter says that Waitman will now wear No. 3, which is the number Russell Wilson wore with the Steelers last year.
The No. 8 jersey had belonged to Steelers punter Corliss Waitman, but no longer. Waitman now will wear No. 3, which last year belonged to Russell Wilson. https://t.co/iMoEGK89dt

Wilson spent last season with the Steelers but became a free agent after the year. He has since signed with the New York Giants.
Now that Waitman has switched numbers for Rodgers, he better hope he doesn’t lose his new number to someone else.
