Paulson Adebo is a player who will be highly-sought after next week during NFL free agency. He showed vast improvements in his game over the past three years, but his 2024 campaign sadly ended with a scary leg injury.

Following a broken femur suffered last season, Adebo has been consistent in providing some video updates of his recovery and return to the gridiron. In mid-February, I wrote about how he could now dunk a basketball.

Clearly, his athleticism is returning, and he's taken another notable step since then.

Adebo's latest update ahead of free agency

Adebo revealed a video of him doing a backflip, running cone drills, and showing his overall explosiveness. He looks healthy and is expected to be one of the top CBs in the free agency class this offseason.

Adebo could return to the Saints, but that probably won't be before he discusses his market with the rest of the NFL. With the positive developments on his health, his impending deal may be out-priced elsewhere.

According to Adebo himself, he expects to be ready to go by training camp. The cornerback played only seven games in 2024, but that's a freaky injury, more than a lingering issue. It was the first season of his career in which he played fewer than 13 games. Even so, a short-term deal may make the most sense as he tries to prove he can return at full strength.

Last year, Adebo allowed a 67.0 passer rating when targeted, which was impressive and a career low. He had seven pass breakups and three interceptions. Notably, he generated two pressures as a blitzer and had a 91.5 pass rush grade according to PFF.

Regardless, this sort of update following a scary injury last season is awesome for the veteran CB. We will see how his free agency shuffle unfolds in the coming weeks.
