The Baltimore Ravens will fight for their lives in a winner-takes-all game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 18.
Notably, they will hope to have Lamar Jackson back on the field after he missed Week 17 with an injury.
A win will send John Harbaugh's team back to the playoffs, and a loss might put an end to the Lamar Jackson era.
According to a report by The Athletic's Mike Sando, there's already chatter around the league about the team being ready to move on from the multi-time MVP.
"Lamar being traded could be similar to the (Dallas) Mavericks trading Luka Doncic," the agent told Sando. "The Mavericks were complaining about Luka's toughness, taking care of his body, work ethic. Luka gets moved, he loses all that weight, he gets in great shape and he's got a new lease on life. Lamar might be the same."
Of course, the main difference here might be that, unlike the Mavericks, the Ravens might actually field calls from different teams.
That could allow them to fetch a more valuable trade package for their franchise player than what former Mavs GM Nico Harrison got for Doncic.
That being said, whoever trades for Jackson will have to absorb a massive cap hit of $74.5 million per year through the 2027 season.
He's clearly worth that type of money, however.
But with some major concerns about his durability, little to no success in the playoffs and reports of his questionable work ethic -- not to mention how difficult contract negotiations have been because of his lack of an agent -- it'll be interesting to see how his potential market might shape up.
