The Dallas Cowboys are set to face the Denver Broncos on the road in Week 8 of the NFL season.
They hold a 3-3-1 record so far, with wins over the New York Giants, New York Jets and the Washington Commanders.
In the first seven games, the Cowboys' defense has struggled. They have allowed the most yards per game in the NFL at 401.6.
While things aren't great on that side of the ball currently, things could get better. Dallas linebacker DeMarvion Overshown suffered a torn ACL, MCL and PCL during a game in December last season against the Cincinnati Bengals.
On Wednesday, the Cowboys opened Overshown's 21-day practice window as he nears his return.
Overshown was one of three players designated to return to practice: center Cooper Beebe and cornerback Shavon Revel.

Overshown was a third-round pick of the Cowboys in 2023. Unfortunately, he missed his entire rookie season with a torn ACL he suffered in training camp.
In the 13 games he played in 2024, he recorded 90 tackles, five sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one interception.
Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer spoke about him on Wednesday.
"He's been dialed in on getting back," Schottenheimer said. "He's had a vision of what it's going to look like. And he's just that much closer to getting back out there and playing in games. But we'll see, you know, how he does today. And there'll be a ramp-up period. But like I said, I'll keep saying we're getting close."
