Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys looked to win their second straight game in Week 12, returning to Arlington, Texas, to host Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles in an NFC East showdown. Prescott was coming off an impressive performance in the Week 11 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, tallying 268 yards and four touchdowns through the air.

Prescott has had the benefit of throwing to two Pro Bowl–caliber wide receivers in CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, who was acquired in an offseason trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pickens has impressed in his first year in Dallas, recording 58 catches for 908 yards and seven touchdowns through 10 games. But against the Eagles, Prescott will have the chance to play with a wideout for the first time this season.

Jonathan Mingo, after a successful college career with the Ole Miss Rebels, was selected in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers. He didn't make much of an impact in his two years in Charlotte, unable to find the end zone in 24 games played. In November 2024, Mingo was acquired by Dallas in exchange for a 2025 seventh-round draft pick.

Mingo played in eight games for the Cowboys last season, tallying just five catches for 46 yards. But in the 2025 preseason, he suffered a PCL sprain in his right knee, placing him on the injured reserve. He returned to practice ahead of the Week 8 loss to the Denver Broncos, but was unable to see the field.

Ahead of the Eagles matchup on Sunday, that changed when the Cowboys activated Mingo for the first time this year, ruling fellow wideout Jalen Tolbert inactive for the first time. While Mingo is set for his season debut, the other Dallas inactives include running back Jaydon Blue, cornerback Trikweze Bridges, offensive lineman Hakeem Adeniji and defensive tackle Jay Toia.

"Cowboys inactives: WR Jalen Tolbert, RB Jaydon Blue, CB Trikweze Bridges, OL Hakeem Adeniji, DT Jay Toia," ESPN's Todd Archer wrote on X. "Jonathan Mingo active for first time this season."

Up next for the Cowboys is a Week 13 matchup with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs on Thanksgiving Day.
