George Pickens and the Dallas Cowboys didn't finish the 2025 NFL season as they would have hoped. After starting with a 6-5-1 record and firmly in the playoff hunt, the Cowboys lost four of their last five games, finishing the year with a 7-9-1 record and missing out on the postseason entirely.
Still, Pickens enjoyed the best season of his career alongside Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb, earning his first All-Pro nod in his first year in Dallas. Acquired from the Pittsburgh Steelers in an offseason trade, the former Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver finished 2025 with career highs of 93 catches for 1,429 yards and nine touchdowns, leading the team in all three categories.
With his performance, Pickens also earned his first selection to the Pro Bowl Games, joining several of his Dallas teammates, including Lamb, Prescott, kicker Brandon Aubrey, defensive tackle Quinnen Williams and left guard Tyler Smith.
The NFC squad, coached by San Francisco 49ers legend Jerry Rice, secured a 66-52 win over the AFC in the 2026 Pro Bowl on Tuesday night. The game was tied at 52 heading into the fourth quarter before Pickens caught a touchdown pass from Prescott to give the NFC the lead for good. Pickens finished the day with three catches for 39 yards and a score.
And for his play in the 2026 Pro Bowl, Pickens was named the Offensive MVP, his first time winning the award. Along with Pickens, Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Antoine Winfield was also named the 2026 Pro Bowl Defensive MVP.

While Pickens awaits a new contract from Jerry Jones and the Cowboys, Prescott has made it clear that he wants the wide receiver back with the team in 2026.
“We know we got to get that (defensive) side of the ball right,” Prescott said. “But we got to make sure that we aren’t complacent with what we’ve done on our side of the ball. We’ve got to get one of our guys signed and make sure that we take a big step on offense as well.”
