Defensive tackle Kenny Clark spent nine years with the Green Bay Packers, who selected him with the No. 27 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. He established himself as a defensive staple, earning three Pro Bowl appearances.

In 140 games in Green Bay, he racked up 417 tackles, 51 tackles for loss, 76 quarterback hits, 35 sacks, seven forced fumbles, 12 pass deflections and eight fumble recoveries.

However, his tenure with the team ended, as he, along with two first-round picks, were shipped to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for EDGE Micah Parsons. While talking to The Athletic's Jon Machota, Clark revealed, "That's probably the most shocked I've ever been in my life."

Now, he gets to face his former team, as the Packers and Cowboys face off on "Sunday Night Football," in a highly anticipated Week 4 matchup.

Kenny Clark Earns Special Honor Before Packers Game

On Friday, Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer announced that Clark will serve as one of the team's captains against the Packers.

"I know, in talking to some of their coaches just, you know, in passing over the past couple weeks since the trade," Schottenheimer said. "How much they miss Kenny as a man, as a teammate, and his play style. So happy to have Kenny and he will be the captain of the week this week."

Since Week 2, Dallas has chosen one player to serve as a "captain of the week," per their official website.

Obviously, playing his former team may be a big contributor as to why Clark was chosen, but there's no doubt that the Cowboys have been pleased with his contributions.

"That man is fire," EDGE Sam Williams said of Clark, according to CBS Sports' Garrett Podell. "He just came here, and you watch the film, he's like that. He's like that, I just feel like the whole game he came in, and we [ the defensive line] already set an identity for ourselves."

So far, he has been productive, recording 10 tackles, one sack, one tackle for loss, two hurries, three pressures and one quarterback hit.

As a captain and starter, Clark will be relied on heavily to stop a Packers offense that was held to just 10 points in their Week 3 loss to the Cleveland Browns.
