The Dallas Cowboys are 6-6-1 and coming off a tough loss in Week 14 to the Detroit Lions on "Thursday Night Football."
The Cowboys lost, 44-30, and are now facing an uphill climb to make the NFC playoffs.
In Week 15, the Cowboys face the Minnesota Vikings at AT&T Stadium on "Sunday Night Football," so it's yet another primetime game for Dallas.
Going into the game, they face questions on the status of CeeDee Lamb and Trevon Diggs, among others.
Lamb suffered a concussion in the game against the Lions, and Diggs had his practice window opened but was not activated from Injured Reserve for the game.
At the start of the week, the team revealed that there was a chance Diggs could return for the game against Minnesota.
On Wednesday, head coach Brian Schottenheimer gave another update on Diggs' status, via Nick Harris of The Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
“He’s still in the ramp-up period. He does feel healthy, I know he wants to play," Schottenheimer said. "But at the end of the day, we have to do what we think is in the best interest of not just him, but also the football team. When you miss time, there’s a ramp-up period for not just your body, but your mind — figuring out the defense and there’s some new faces in the huddle."
"I love him as a player, but ultimately he’s got to show us that he’s ready to do everything the right way," he added.
Owner Jerry Jones also said they have to like what they see from Diggs in order to put him on the field for Week 15.
The Cowboys and Vikings kick off on Sunday night at 8:30 pm ET with the game on NBC, and Diggs' status should have a final update before then.
