Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb Praises Brian Schottenheimer's Fight Reaction

Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer isn't messing around in Oxnard.

After yet another scuffle, this time one that saw tackle Ajani Cornelius throw a punch, true to his word, Schottenheimer kicked him out of practice.

But the head coach wasn't done there.

He brought the entire roster and coaching staff together and gave them a verbal tongue-lashing.

"You want to fight, let’s (expletive) fight. Get your (expletive) on the sideline," he said.

The head coach then made the entire roster and some of the coaching staff run from sideline to sideline as punishment.

And CeeDee Lamb knows that was the right call.

"I feel like that was really necessary," Lamb said. "I honestly like what he's doing because we need discipline, we need to be able to go through that line. We need to have that availability towards the team and then that aggressiveness at the same time to be able to be as mad and fight between the whistles, and then as soon as the whistle's done, we going to line it up again.

"We need to have that type of energy ... So, shout out Schotty for that. But as for us we just got to be the best group that we can."

Talent has never been the issue for the Cowboys, but discipline? Yes, that's been a significant issue for this team for years. And make no mistake about it, Schotty is determined to lay down the law.

The Cowboys can't be in the business of beating themselves, which has been the case for the past couple of years. The discipline has been lacking, and Schotty is bringing it back.

Lamb acknowledged that, and when you have a star player falling in line to what the head coach is doing, you know things are trending in the right way.

The message is simple now. If you want to fight, there'll be consequences, not just for you, but the entire team.
