Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb Speaks Out Against Jerry Jones vs. Micah Parsons Contract Saga: 'It's Not Fun'

The Dallas Cowboys have been in Oxnard for a couple of days, and the main storyline has been the back-and-forth between owner Jerry Jones and the "Lion" Micah Parsons regarding the monster extension (we think) that is coming No. 11's way.

With a deal that, if we are being truthful, should have been completed months ago, still dragging on, and now it's playing out in the media space, which isn't ideal.

And for receiver CeeDee Lamb, who went through his own contract saga with the Cowboys and Jerry last offseason, which forced him to miss all of training camp before eventually getting paid, he warned Micah that the media game isn't one he wants to be playing with Mr. Jones.

“Micah knows I love him, and being in this situation, obviously, playing this media game with Jerry is not the best,” Lamb said. “It's not fun. Is not recommended. But, as for Micah, he knows what he brings to this table honestly for this team, for himself, and he should get what he deserves. I'm not indulging in any of the craziness that they got going, but I do want Micah to get paid… soon.”

There's no doubt that Parsons will eventually get his record-breaking extension, with the ball seemingly in Jerry's court after Parsons stated that his agent has tried contacting the front office.

How long this will play out is anyone's guess, but one thing is certain: it won't matter how long it takes, Parsons will get his deal, and at the cost we knew it would be months ago.

Until then, these media games will be played in Oxnard, and while we don't understand what it achieves, Jerry might have finally met his match in someone who knows how to use the media to his advantage.

And the end result should be Micah as a Cowboy on a long-term deal.

CeeDee wants Micah to get paid. So do we.
