Jerry Jones watched on as his Dallas Cowboys improved to 3-3-1 on the 2025 NFL season with a 44-22 Week 7 win over Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders. While Dak Prescott shined in CeeDee Lamb’s return, the defense delivered one of its best performances of the year, recording four sacks and a pick-six by DaRon Bland.

Still, Brian Schottenheimer’s defense has been among the worst in the NFL through seven games, with the Cowboys ranking last in yards allowed per game (401.6) and passing yards allowed per game (260.3). Much of the blame has fallen on Jones, who traded away All-Pro pass rusher Micah Parsons just a week before the season began. However, Dallas has recently shown interest in finding Parsons’ replacement.

Maxx Crosby, despite the Las Vegas Raiders' 2-5 record, remains one of the best pass rushers in the NFL, tallying four sacks and ten tackles for loss on the season, not to mention his five pass deflections and one interception. And according to Trey Wingo, the Cowboys have shown interest in a potential trade for Crosby.

"Breaking: according to sources the @dallascowboys have made inquiries with the @Raiders about a potential trade for Maxx Crosby," Wingo wrote on X.

However, six years into his Las Vegas career, Crosby has no interest in leaving, and the Raiders have no interest in trading him. That means Jones will have to keep searching for Parsons’ replacement.

"The #Raiders met with star DE Maxx Crosby today to let him know they aren’t shopping him and won’t trade him, sources tell me and @SlaterNFL," NFL Network's Tom Pelissero wrote on X. "While other teams are interested, the Raiders aren’t interested in moving their best player, and Crosby wants to stay in Las Vegas."

Up next for Jones and the Cowboys, a Week 8 matchup with Sean Payton and the Denver Broncos on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET.
