The Dallas Cowboys were eliminated from the playoffs after another disappointing season, led by quarterback Dak Prescott.
The Cowboys have been playing under head coach Brian Schottenheimer this season, his first leading Dallas.
In Week 17, the Cowboys played the Washington Commanders on Christmas Day.
Dallas defeated the Commanders 30-23, snapping a losing streak that haunted the Cowboys in the second half of the NFL season.
In the game against the Commanders, Dallas Cowboys running back Javonte Williams left with an apparent injury.
After an injury in the second quarter, Williams did not return, leaving the Cowboys playing without their No. 1 running back.
"Javonte Williams did not return after an injury in the 2nd quarter," confirmed by Draft Kings Sportsbook.

Javonte Williams has been dealing with a shoulder injury this season. While he's been limited in practiced before this season, he re-aggravated the shoulder injury against the Washington Commanders on Christmas Day.
Williams finished the game against the Commanders with one touchdown and 54 yards. He was having a phenomenal first half before dealing with the injury.
While the Dallas Cowboys certainly felt the loss of Javonte Williams, who is a Top 10 leading rusher in the NFL this season, they were able to pick up the Christmas Day victory over a divisional opponent.
In his first season as the lead running back of the Cowboys, Williams has posted 11 touchdowns and 1,201 yards, both of which rank Top 10 in the NFL.
