The Dallas Cowboys will meet the New York Jets on Sunday at noon CDT at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford. The game will air on FOX and 105.3 The FAN. The Cowboys (1-2-1) come off a wild 40-40 tie against the Green Bay Packers (NFC North), while the Jets (0-4) of the AFC East fell to the Miami Dolphins 27-21 in Week 4.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Dallas will be without several key starters.
“For #Cowboys-#Jets: CB Michael Carter (concussion) is out,” Rapoport wrote on X. “#Cowboys WRs CeeDee Lamb and KaVontae Turpin and OLs Tyler Booker and T Tyler Guyton are all out.”

Before the Dallas Cowboys face the Jets, they released their updated injury report on Friday with multiple players ruled out:
In the NFC East standings entering Week 5, the Philadelphia Eagles lead at 4-0 with a 1.000 winning percentage, followed by the Washington Commanders (2-2), the Cowboys (1-2-1), and the New York Giants (1-3). Dallas has scored 114 points and allowed 132 for a minus-18 point differential.
Quarterback Dak Prescott leads the Cowboys with 1,119 passing yards. Backup Joe Milton III has added 41. Running back Javonte Williams has rushed for 312 yards, followed by Sanders with 117 and Turpin with 23. George Pickens tops Dallas receivers with 300 yards, followed by tight end Jake Ferguson (223) and Lamb (222).
On defense, Murray leads with 16 tackles, Jack Sanborn has 15, and Kaiir Elam has 13. James Houston has two sacks, while Kenny Clark and Kneeland each have one. Donovan Wilson has the team’s lone interception.
Running back Javonte Williams – considered one of the NFL’s top five backs – will share carries with rookie Jaydon Blue.

The Cowboys believe Blue’s speed could spark the offense. Insider Nick Harris reported that Blue debuted Louis Vuitton-Nike cleats at Thursday’s practice, prompting a laugh from coach Brian Schottenheimer.
“About halfway through practice, I saw him laying,” Schottenheimer said. “I say what the hell happened to Blue? ‘Coach, I’m fine. I got blisters.’ I said, ‘Oh, shocker. Look at the cool shoes you got.’”

Blue switched shoes, and the issue subsided.
Dallas hopes to rebound with a cleaner game plan after last week’s shootout. With several offensive stars sidelined, the Cowboys’ depth will be tested on Sunday. However, the Jets will play like they would look to launch their rocket to get their first win of the season.
