Cowboys' Kearse On Kittle's Shirt: 'I Don't Have A Problem!'
Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

After dismantling the Dallas Cowboys 42-10 on Sunday Night Football, the San Francisco 49ers were content to add insult to injury.

The one doing the insulting was none other than tight end George Kittle, who had already scored three touchdowns in the game. Kittle ran to the end zone to celebrate with his teammates when the clock mercifully hit zero, and while doing so, flashed a T-shirt under his jersey that read "(Bleep) Dallas."

In the days following the game, Kittle's shirt has been a major talking point. Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons understandably didn't take kindly to it, telling Kittle to "laugh now, cry later" in response. Meanwhile, the NFL is reportedly considering disciplining Kittle for the gesture.

For Cowboys safety Jayron Kearse, though, the whole situation seems very overblown. Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Kearse downplayed Kittle's gesture (which by the way might earn the tight end an NFL fine) while also taking responsibility for allowing it to happen in the first place.

"A couple of guys told me about it but I don't have any thoughts on it," Kearse said. "I kind of think back to a couple years ago with the Carolina Panthers and guys had problems with Cam Newton dancing. You know the only way to stop that is to keep him out of the end zone.

"So we let him get to the end zone and he chose for that to be his celebration... I don't have a problem with nothing he did. If we do our job and keep him out of the end zone, he wouldn't have been able to do it."

While Kearse is just as upset as anyone over the loss, he's not letting it linger around as the Cowboys move forward.

"They beat us. They beat us bad," Kearse said. "But at the end of the day, that's one game. We're on to the next."

Kearse had four total tackles and a sack in Sunday's loss, but his struggles in coverage led to many Cowboys fans criticizing his overall performance.

After a disastrous loss, the Cowboys will look to bounce back when they visit the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday night.
