Cowboys' Micah Parsons has colorful description of Bills' Josh Allen ahead of showdown

The Dallas Cowboys defense is firing on all cylinders after holding the Philadelphia Eagles to two field goals on "Sunday Night Football," but it can't afford to get complacent with Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills up next on the schedule.

Dallas defensive star Micah Parsons spoke with the media about the looming trip to western New York, and he had a colorful description for one of the NFL's top quarterbacks.

"Josh doesn't really believe in sliding. Josh reminds me a lot of that one crazy guy at the frat," Parsons said, per The Athletic's Jon Machota.

"He's that wild dude on the field. He wants to dip his shoulder, trash talk, he's gonna get rowdy."

This Week 15 contest is incredibly important for both Dallas' (10-3) and Buffalo's (7-6) playoff aspirations.

The Cowboys are riding high after beating the Eagles to take first place in the NFC East, but need to continue winning — while hoping for another Philadelphia slip-up — to win the division. There is also a chance that winning the NFC East could mean locking up the top seed (and home-field advantage) in the NFC playoffs.

Week 14's win against Philadelphia was Dallas' 15th consecutive victory at home, with the last loss coming in Week 1 of the 2022 season. In that same stretch, the Cowboys are just 5-8 on the road (including 1-1 in the playoffs).

Playing at Jerry's World has been a massive advantage for Dallas, and head coach Mike McCarthy will want to play as many games there as possible.

Meanwhile, the Bills are playing to simply keep their season alive.

After a controversial win in Kansas City in Week 14, Buffalo is still behind four teams in the congested AFC wild-card race with all four teams at 7-6.

The good news for the Bills is that most of the teams in front of them have quarterback issues.

The Colts and Bengals are both starting backups in Gardner Minshew and Jake Browning, respectively. While both have been serviceable, neither instills much fear in the hearts of their opponents and likely won't win out the rest of the season.

The Texans are also in the 7-6 mess, but wide receiver Nico Collins followed up Tank Dell's ankle injury last week with a calf injury of his own. Even more significant, rookie phenom quarterback C.J. Stroud went into the concussion protocol, and neither is certain to play against Tennessee on Sunday.

Buffalo's toughest challenge could end up being to leapfrog Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos, who have won six of their last seven games — but their most important task is to win the games in front of them.

That starts at home on Sunday against one of the hottest teams in football.
