Cowboys' Micah Parsons on Tom Brady: 'He wants to step on your throat like you a roach'

Some throughout the NFL community are questioning just how dedicated Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is to the cause in the closing days of summer amid rumors that Gisele Bündchen, his wife, is unhappy with his decision to play at least one more NFL season.

Dallas Cowboys linebacker and reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year Micah Parsons isn't among such individuals.

Per Madeline Coleman of Sports Illustrated, Parsons spoke with reporters Wednesday ahead of Sunday's Week 1 clash between the Buccaneers and Cowboys about the seven-time Super Bowl champion who turned 45 years old last month and who may be preparing to play the final regular-season games of his historic career.

"We got to get him out this league. He’s been dominating this league too long," Parsons joked about Brady. "He has that fire inside of him. He looks to kill you. He wants to step on your throat like you a roach. That’s what you look for in competitors."

A motivated Brady proved last season he can still be a Most Valuable Player candidate and led the entire league with 485 completions, 719 pass attempts, 5,316 passing yards and 43 passing touchdowns. Parsons went on to compare the G.O.A.T. to some well-known superheroes.

"I’ve seen the Hulk get beat up. I’ve seen Thor get beat up. I’ve seen Captain America get beat up. But they always get back up and find a way to get to their destination," Parsons added during his comments. "[Brady] gets beat up, but he gets back up."

Brady's 11-day break away from the Buccaneers during the preseason for unspecified personal reasons coupled with the stories about his marriage may have some wondering if he's had second thoughts about playing this fall, but Parsons made it clear with his comments that he's expecting the future Hall of Famer to be at his best this coming Sunday evening.
