Cowboys' Micah Parsons responds to being left off inaugural Players' All-Pro Team

The NFLPA released the inaugural Players' All-Pro Team for the 2022 season this week. However, Dallas Cowboys' star linebacker Micah Parsons, an All-Pro during his rookie season, didn't make the cut.

On Wednesday, Parsons responded defiantly on social media to being left off the list while congratulating those who made it.

The No. 12 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft had a more than solid campaign in his second professional season, making an impact on and off the stat sheet. Parson started all 17 games, finishing seventh in the NFL in sacks (13.5). Per ESPN Analytics, no edge rusher in the NFL won at a higher rate (30 percent) than Parsons this season.

The 23-year-old ranked first on the Cowboys in sacks, tackles for loss (14), quarterback hits (27) and tied defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence for the team lead in forced fumbles (3).

While Parsons may have a good case for making the players' list, there's also a decent counterargument. The 2021 Defensive Rookie of the Year came out of the gates hot, recording 50 tackles (13 for loss), 12 sacks, and a defensive touchdown through the first 11 games of the season. However, down the stretch, Parsons' numbers dipped. Over the final six games of the Cowboys' season, Parson posted 15 tackles (one for loss) and 1.5 sacks.

Regardless, Parsons can rest on knowing he and the Cowboys are in the postseason, which 11 players on the All-Pro list cannot say.
