Cowboys Move: New Tight End - Cousin of Seahawks TE - Added
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

ARLINGTON - The Dallas Cowboys have added a tight end to the roster for the Thursday night game here at AT&T Stadium against the visiting Seattle Seahawks. ... but it won't be Peyton Hendershot.

The team announced at midday that it has elevated Princeton Fant from the practice squad to join the active roster ... and the move comes with a pair of twists.

First, and most importantly, it means that Hendershot is nor quite ready to come off injured reserve for the game, though his 21-day window is open and his activation should occur next week in time to play the Eagles.

Meanwhile, Fant - undersized at 6-1 and 236 - joined the Cowboys after he went undrafted out of Tennessee and he has been spending time on the practice squad.

Is his last name familiar? If so, maybe that's because his cousin is Seahawks tight end Noah Fant.

Now, does the Fant Family figure to play a key role in the meeting tonight? Not necessarily. But in our Fish Podcast, we discuss what are The Five Keys and we dig into a most flattering comparison to illustrate Dak Prescott's level of play.
