Cowboys offense can be 'really dangerous' if one thing happens
Chris Jones-Imagn Images

The Dallas Cowboys' offense has divided opinion this offseason, with Brian Schottenheimer's unit somewhat of an unknown regarding what we can expect.

Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, Jake Ferguson, and an offensive line that now houses three first-round picks, plus a run game that "should" be improved thanks to a couple of savvy coaching hires, Dallas has a bit to work with.

Still, some don't see that as enough to give the Cowboys anything other than a failing grade for the upcoming season.

But for Bleacher Report's Alex Ballentine, the offense could be dangerous if its Achilles heel gets fixed.

"The Cowboys signed Javonte Williams, but he averaged just 3.6 yards per carry and a success rate of 46.8 in his final season in Denver," Ballentine writes. "Throw in a serious injury history and there are some red flags that come with him becoming the lead back. They also signed Miles Sanders, but he's averaged just 3.5 yards per carry in his two seasons with the Panthers.

"If Blue can prove worthy of snaps in camp and at least one of the veterans returns to form, then the Cowboys could be really dangerous on offense."

It is no secret that Schottenheimer wants to run the football, and with Klayton Adams and Conor Riley, both of whom have good resumes in developing good offensive line play and run games, Dallas could be sneaky good.

Yes, there are a host of variables like injuries, new scheme, and coaching style, but things, to us at least, appear to be far more positive than a year ago.

Now, will that translate into production on the field? Who knows, but the Cowboys, we think, won't be as bad as some think in 2025, and as funny as it sounds, the run game could be the reason why.
