The Washington Commanders' impending sale is currently front of mind for the organization's fans. With owner Dan Snyder appearing ready to pack up and ship out, many are just waiting for confirmation.

But due to the various issues that have accompanied the potential sale, Snyder hasn't made many friends along the way and may have damaged some relationships too.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been a mentor and friend to Snyder, but the pair's relationship, according to Jones, isn't what it used to be.

“I think it’s a lot more formal,” Jones said at the NFL Owners meeting in Phoenix. “But I think it’s that way because of the various issues that are involved here. So, it’s not lovey-dovey, but it’s not really strained in any way.”

So it appears that the once tight pair are now a part somewhat, and it is thought to be due to the accusations leveled at Snyder during his time as owner in Washington and the fact that Snyder reportedly had "dirt" on all the other owners that he would use should he be ousted.

It has long been rumored that the sale of the Commanders would gather pace at the NFL owner's meeting, but movement has yet to be made at the time of writing.

With all the accusations leveled at Snyder, it makes a sale of the franchise rather sticky, but there has been no shortage of players in the game. Amazon owner Jeff Bezos, former Los Angeles Laker Magic Johnson, and other high-profile people have had their names thrust into calculations.

When the sale goes through is anyone's guess, but for fans of the Commanders, the sale can't come quickly enough.
