To say that Jerry Jones is unique would be an understatement.

There's never been a personality in the NFL quite like the owner and general manager of the Dallas Cowboys, and he's a perfect fit for the team he's in charge of.

The Cowboys have always been unapologetic about who they are, and Jones is no different. He speaks his mind, wears his heart on his sleeve and has shown that he will do absolutely anything to win.

Jerry Jones is one of the more interesting figures in and around the NFL, and he recently revealed eating habits that have some fans scratching their heads.

Carolina Panthers rookie wide receiver Xavier Legette revealed that he and his family enjoyed eating raccoon over the Thanksgiving holiday, and Jones made similar remarks on a radio interview Tuesday.

"I've eaten a lot of raccoon. The answer is yes," Jones said when he was asked if he's eaten the animal before.

"It's not uncommon at all. One of my favorites is squirrel. It's wonderful. We all had our favorite pieces. ... My mom and I would even ask for the brain of the squirrel. Delicious. Seriously."

Fans were amazed by Jones' admission, mostly because of how random it was during Tuesday's conversation about the state of the team.

"Team is closing out the 29th year of falling well short of a NFC championship game and they talk about eating squirrels - but it ensures Jerry comes back next week," one fan said.

"Confirmed... eating squirrel brains makes you think you are the best GM ever," said another fan.

"Good lord lol. Dallas will suck as long as this guy owns the team," one fan remarked.

"i love jerry when jerry reminds us, at the end of the day, he's still a dude from arkansas," said sports commentator Bomani Jones.

"I can’t believe this guy is a billionaire," another fan said.

The Cowboys will look to finish their season on a strong note with two divisional opponents in their final three games. If they can run the table they'll finish at 9-8, giving themselves an outside shot to make the NFC Playoffs.

We'll see how everything turns out, but it's clear that Jones' strange eating habits have left an impression on NFL fans this week.
