The Dallas Cowboys' trade for Pittsburgh Steelers receiver George Pickens completely changed the dynamic and outlook for the offense in 2025.
With serious questions leveled at the offense before the trade, now? Big things are expected with the Cowboys having one of the better receiver duos in football.
But that has to come to fruition on the field.
Lamb will see his targets and get his catches, and Pickens will see advantageous matchups due to 88 being on the field, and that will open up the offense for Dak Prescott.
However, what can we expect from CeeDee and George?
For ESPN's Mike Clay, in his 2025 projections, the Cowboys will have something they haven't had since 2019 - two 1,000-yard receivers.
Clay projects Lamb to 1,436 yards and eight touchdowns from 117 receptions, and Pickens to have 1,023 yards and seven touchdowns from 72 receptions.
Such is the reliance on CeeDee and Pickens, the next best receiver is Jalen Tolbert (298 yards from 25 receptions). So it is the Lamb and Pickens show.
Having such a talented duo, it would be silly for Brian Schottenheimer and Dak to not utilize them at every possible chance because defenses can't stop both. Even last season, Lamb was getting double-teamed, and he still couldn't be stopped.
Now, CeeDee likely will see far fewer double teams because George is on the other side, ready to cause havoc. Having two 1,000-yard receivers for the first time since Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup did it six years ago would be quite the return for Dallas.
It would likely mean Pickens gets his big contract in the offseason, and would also mean Dallas will be playoff-bound in Year 1 under Schottenheimer.
And it would signal that the Cowboys were right in trading for what many deemed a "risky" player in Pickens.
