Cowboys Predicted to Trade Micah Parsons to NFC Rival

The situation around the Dallas Cowboys and star pass rusher Micah Parsons has seemingly taken a turn for the worse. Parsons has now publicly requested a trade, but the Cowboys have said that they won't move the star.

The two sides reportedly remain far apart in contract negotiations, and it seems that Parsons may want a fresh start. Multiple teams have been linked to him, and the Cowboys could likely receive a strong return for his services.

Parsons is among the best defenders in the NFL, and he has been consistent since entering the league. The star has posted at least 12 sacks in each of his first four seasons in the NFL.

NFL writer Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report put together some trade ideas for some of the biggest names on the market. In one of them, Knox had the Cowboys sending Parsons out West to join the Arizona Cardinals.

Here is the deal that Knox put together:

Cardinals Get: Edge Micah Parsons

Cowboys Get: 2026 1st-round pick, 2026 2nd-round pick, 2027 1st-round pick, 2026 3rd-round pick, Edge Zaven Collins

The Cardinals do make some sense as a potential landing spot for Parsons if the Cowboys were to move him. Arizona's front office has never been shy about making big moves in the past, and this organization desperately needs to take that next step forward.

Parsons could thrive under head coach Jonathan Gannon, who is known for his creativity on the defensive end of the ball. The star pass rusher could bring some legitimacy to this Cardinals defense, and it would help them be much more credible in the NFC.

Arizona could also afford the contract that Parsons would be asking for, and this could be a perfect match. The Cardinals would get a special defensive talent, while the Cowboys would net some strong assets for a disgruntled player.
