Dak Prescott is working his way back to the Dallas Cowboys huddle for 2025.

Prescott missed last season's final nine games after suffering a partially torn hamstring, but the 31-year-old quarterback remains on track to start the upcoming campaign. On Tuesday, Prescott told reporters that he's expecting to soon receive an "official sign-off" from a team doctor to participate in training camp later this month.

"I'm healthy as can be," Prescott said, per Joseph Hoyt of the Dallas Morning News. "Yeah, I'll be full go for camp."

Prescott said in April that he felt he could play a game that day. He later partook in the Cowboys' non-contact OTA practice sessions.

"It's just the work that I've put into it, unfortunately I've been through this process of recovering from injuries before that I embrace it," Prescott said in April. "I know that a better version of me is on the other side, so that's just the way that I've approached this whole offseason and this whole rehab process."

Prescott finished second to Lamar Jackson in the 2023 MVP voting with 4,516 passing yards, 36 touchdowns, and a career-high 105.9 quarterback rating. He wasn't playing to that level early in 2024, registering an 86.0 passer rating with 11 touchdowns and eight picks before suffering his season-ending injury in Week 9.

The former fourth-round pick returns for his 10th season with the Cowboys. Prescott will look to steer Dallas back into the playoffs after going 7-10 in a year that also saw the defense hampered by injuries.

He won't come back to the same supporting cast. The Cowboys acquired George Pickens from the Pittsburgh Steelers, giving Prescott an updated No. 2 wide receiver alongside CeeDee Lamb.

Per The Athletic's Jon Machota, Prescott said he won't need much time to develop on-field rapport with his new target.

"You turn on that guy's tape, he's getting separation," Prescott said of Pickens. "He's got separation even when he's not getting the ball at times. And when he doesn't have separation, he's still making the catches."

Prescott expects to be medically cleared when the Cowboys begin training camp on Tuesday, July 22.
