Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys are coming off an impressive 33-16 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. Prescott turned in a strong performance, completing 25-of-33 passes for 268 yards, four touchdowns and zero interceptions. Thanks in large part to Prescott’s big day, Dallas was able to bust out of its two-game losing streak. They improved to 4-5-1 after their win over the Raiders, but are still 10th in the NFC.
Prescott, however, sustained an injury in the game. News emerged of a hip issue for the three-time Pro Bowl quarterback, which placed a cloud on his status for this week’s team practices.
Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer announced Prescott’s injury on Wednesday. The rookie coach, however, noted that the hip issue is “nothing major.” Either way, Prescott was a limited participant at Wednesday’s practice.
Prescott spoke to the press on Thursday to provide an update on his hip. The 32-year-old veteran did not seem concerned. Prescott confirmed that he suffered the injury against the Raiders after falling on it during the game. The Cowboys star announced, however, that he was a full participant in Thursday’s practice.
“I’ll be completely fine,” Prescott said, via Jon Machota of The Athletic. “I’ve played with much more soreness.”
Prescott appears completely confident that he will not miss time because of this injury. The former Mississippi State Bulldogs star fully intends to play through the issue and is adamant he will be able to do so in their next game.
Dallas will be back on the field on Sunday for Week 12. It’s a tough matchup for them as they face the defending champs, the 8-2 Philadelphia Eagles, who are coming off four straight wins. The Cowboys will host the game at AT&T Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET.
