Cowboys, Raiders Have Discussed Blockbuster Trade: Report

With the NFL trade deadline exactly two weeks away, the Dallas Cowboys seem interested in a Pro Bowl playmaker from the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Cowboys made a pair of blockbuster trades this past offseason, acquiring wide receiver George Pickens and shipping out All-Pro pass rusher Micah Parsons. Although they received a pair of first-round picks and Kenny Clark in exchange for Parsons, the reality is their defense misses his ability to just destroy an opposing team's game plan.

Well, according to former ESPN host Trey Wingo, the Cowboys have expressed interest in Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby.

Crosby, 28, has made the Pro Bowl four times since joining the Raiders in 2019. While the team has struggled mightily this season, he does have 28 tackles, nine QB hits, four sacks and a forced fumble.

Perhaps a change of scenery is all Crosby needs to return to his 2023 form. In case you don't remember, he had 31 QB hits and 14.5 sacks during that season.

Would Crosby make the Cowboys contenders?

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones made it clear in Week 6 that he was willing to make a blockbuster trade.

"Well, if there is a trade that would help the defense, we're in position to make that trade," Jones said last week.

After seeing the Cowboys dismantle the Washington Commanders in Week 7, it's fair to say a premier pass rusher would take them to another level in the NFC.

Would Crosby make "America's Team" a Super Bowl contender? Maybe not, but it would bring them one step closer to making the playoffs.

The Cowboys are 3-3-1 heading into this Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos.
