Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott facing $1M lawsuit for another alleged dog attack

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is facing another lawsuit for an alleged dog attack, with his neighbor seeking more than $1 million in damages.

According to a lawsuit obtained by TMZ Sports, Jennifer Gampper claims one of Elliott's dogs got loose and attacked her near his Texas home, causing "severe and permanent" injuries.

Elliott's attorney, Frank Salzano, told TMZ Sports that Elliott is concerned for Gampper, but that doesn't mean he's at fault.

"Mr. Elliott and his representatives are aware of the lawsuit filed on July 30th, which stems from a previously reported incident from May 21st of this year," Salzano said. "As Mr. Elliott expressed at that time, he was - and remains concerned - for the party involved.

"However, as in most disputes, there are extenuating circumstances to this matter which will impact the legal proceedings which we are not at liberty to disclose. As such, we have no further comment at this time."

Police investigated the incident and said two people were injured in the alleged attack, listing Gampper as one of the victims in the report. Police added that three of Elliott's dogs escaped that day, and the running back was issued three citations because of the incident.

Elliott's Rottweiler "Ace" then had a "dangerous dog hearing," and it was determined the dog needed to be removed from the city, TMZ Sports adds.

This isn't the first time Elliott's dogs have been accused of being violent. In June 2020, a pool cleaner alleged in a lawsuit that one of Elliott's dogs bit her arm and dragged her before his two other dogs began attacking her legs.

The 26-year-old was also sued earlier this summer when a pet resort employee claimed one of Elliott's dogs bit him in March 2021.
