After a hiring process that left many Dallas Cowboys fans skeptical of Brian Schottenheimer, the first first-year head coach has since earned his respect in many ways.
First it was "Schotty" announcing a clear mission to be a run-heavy offensive team and focus on clogging the interior defensively.
Then he moved his entire operation to Indianapolis for the NFL Scouting Combine to conduct a thorough analysis with his new staff.
Now fans get a rare glimpse into who Brian Schottenheimer is off the football field in an interview with CBS Sports talking about his tattoos.
#Cowboys Brian Schottenheimer is like if Matthew McConaughey were a head coach.

Very even keel and gets cool tattoos like this one in his “life license plate.”

His "favorite" tattoo features a Tennessee license plate to represent his home, with numbers that represent his family's birthdates - his "life license plate".
Schotty also has "Faith. Family. Football" tattooed on his arm and "grit" tattooed on his hand.
Quickly into his new position in Dallas, Schottenheimer is already turning into a fan-favorite with Cowboys Nation from his calm demeanor and passion for the game.
He'll look to earn more respect as he proves he can lead his team to wins in a competitive NFC this season.
