If the Dallas Cowboys are going to compete for a playoff spot, they have to make a move on their defense.
Sure, DeMarvion Overshown had his 21-day practice window opened up, as well as Shavon Revel, but at the end of the day, these two guys are coming off major injuries, but one player requested a trade yesterday that would be a major upgrade for the Dallas Cowboys, and they should pick up the phone and give the Bengals a call.
Marist Liufau, Jack Sanborn nor Kenneth Murray have really impressed at the linebacker position – so little so that Sanborn lost his spot as a starter ahead of week 8 to fifth round rookie, Shemar James.
Team captain, and leading tackler of the Bengals for years, Logan Wilson requested a trade yesterday, and this is a move that Dallas should entertain.
In six seasons with the team, he has made 75 starts and totaled six forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and 11 interceptions.
Logan Wilson seems an ideal fit for Cowboys defense. https://t.co/y05ZPRyFrK

According to reports, Cincinnati doesn’t view Wilson as a starter anymore, but he’s still owed over $3 million of his base salary for the rest of the season and has an additional two years left on his $36 million contract. It makes sense for the Bengals to trade him if the right team comes around.
The only issue I would see with this is that the defense cannot create a pass rush, and over his career he has been a really good pass-defending linebacker, and I think what this defense needs is someone who can help generate pressure on the QB.
Let’s be true to ourselves here, getting a linebacker who has been playing on special teams most of the year is not going to fix the issue on that side of the ball, but he is better than what they have right now.
I hope this team makes a move before the trade deadline. Maxx Crosby is out of the question. He met with the Raiders this week and was told that he did not want to leave, and they have no plans to trade him anywhere.
The Dallas defense, even after last week in Washington, ranks near the bottom in every single category, and Wilson is not going to change that if they make a move, but at least they will be trying to do something.
Add him, and see if they can get a guy who can rush the passer constantly, and then we can see how the rest of the season goes.
