Cowboys' Tyler Smith Reveals 'Realistic' Super Bowl Goal
Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

For some, having the Dallas Cowboys and Super Bowl in the same sentence entering the 2025 season will get you laughed out of every room you walk into.

But left guard Tyler Smith is determined to set the standard as part of a new-look leadership group, even if outside of the four walls of the locker room, thinks it's out of reach.

As Dallas arrived in Oxnard, Smith met with the media, and when asked about the goals for the 2025 season, Tyler didn't beat around the bush. He wants it all.

"Super Bowl champions, that's always the expectation," Smith said. "I think it's a realistic goal. We can win the Super Bowl. Why can't we win?"

When asked if the Cowboys have the roster to win the Super Bowl, Tyler was definitive in his response.

"I think it is in place," Smith added.

Now, there are going to be those who take the quote and bash it, but in truth, that is exactly what fans want Tyler to say. The only goal is to win the Super Bowl.

The long, arduous road to achieving that goal begins with one small step in sunny Oxnard as Brian Schottenheimer's first training camp gets underway, with everyone pulling in the same direction.

The offseason has been a relatively positive one, aside from Micah Parsons' contract situation, but when it comes to straight football, Schottenheimer and the Cowboys have the good vibes flowing.

But now the real stuff starts. The long, hot days, padded practices, everyone working to get better each and every day, with the lone goal remaining the same.

Get that elusive Super Bowl ring.
