The Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Commanders game made NFL history on Sunday.

Dallas topped Washington, 34-26, at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland on Sunday. The Cowboys took the lead late and then held off a wild rally by quarterback Jayden Daniels and the Commanders offense. Washington nearly tied the game late, at 27-27, but kicker Austin Seibert missed the game-tying extra point. The Cowboys recovered an onside kick attempt, returned it for a touchdown, and then batted down a game-tying Hail Mary! attempt.

It was a wild one, to say the least. In fact, the crazy Week 12 NFL game made league history.

ESPN's Todd Archer notes that the Cowboys vs. Commanders game made NFL history with all of the crazy things that happened on Sunday.

"History was made in the Cowboys-Commanders game. Per ESPN Research, it was the first game in NFL history featuring 2 kickoff return TDs, 2 missed extra-point attempts, and a blocked FG attempt," he wrote.

The Cowboys aren't dead yet, either.

Dallas is set to host the 2-9 New York Giants at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Thanksgiving Day. The next four games are all pretty winnable, as the Cowboys will be taking on the Giants, Bengals, Panthers and Bucs.

Things get tougher late, with contests against the Eagles and Commanders to finish the year, but right now, there's at least a little bit of momentum for the Cowboys as they are heading back to Dallas.
