Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys climbed back to .500 in Week 7 of the 2025 NFL season with a win over Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders in an NFC East showdown. In CeeDee Lamb’s return from injury, Prescott turned in one of his best performances of the year, completing 21 of 30 passes for 264 yards and three touchdowns, including a 74-yarder to Lamb.
Prescott has dealt with numerous injuries in the Cowboys’ offense to start the 2025 season. At one point, he was even without four of his five starting offensive linemen, as well as his top pass-catcher. But against the Commanders, Prescott had most of his line back upon rookie Tyler Booker’s return, leaving center Cooper Beebe as the lone starter still sidelined.
After an All-American career at Kansas State, Beebe was selected by the Cowboys in the third round of last year’s draft. He earned the starting center job early in his rookie season, but in Week 2 against the New York Giants, he suffered an ankle sprain and a fractured foot bone . The injuries forced Dallas to place him on injured reserve, leaving Brock Hoffman to handle snapping duties for Prescott.
On Wednesday, after missing the last five games, the Cowboys opened the 21-day practice window for Beebe, along with linebacker DeMarvion Overshown and cornerback Shavon Revel. While the two defenders have already been ruled out, Beebe remains questionable for the Broncos game, with Dallas having until Saturday to activate him to the roster.
"If Cooper Beebe plays, he will need to be added to the roster on Saturday," ESPN's Todd Archer wrote on X on Friday. "Cowboys will likely use the full window before adding DeMarvion Overshown, Shavon Revel."
