Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys was one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL during the 2025 regular season. Prescott did all he could for the 7-9-1 Cowboys as he completed 404 passes with a 67.3% completion rate, finishing third in the NFL in passing yards (4,552), fourth in touchdown passes (30), and fifth in QBR (70.2).

The Haughton High School graduate led Dallas to the No. 2 passing offense in the league last year (266.3 yards per game). With All-Pro wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, the 32-year-old veteran is entering his 11th year of professional football surrounded by immense expectations and offensive talent for the 2026 season.

On Monday, it was reported that Dallas made a move to further bolster its wide receiver room. Free-agent wide receiver Romello Brinson was signed by the Cowboys, giving their star quarterback more offensive talent. After spending the previous three college football seasons with the SMU Mustangs, Brinson went undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft.

The Miami Northwestern Senior High School star originally committed to the Miami Hurricanes in 2021, where he spent his first two years of college football. He transferred to the Mustangs after his sophomore season, spending the remainder of his college career in University Park. Brinson finished the 2025 season with 638 receiving yards on 43 receptions, averaging 14.8 yards per reception, to go along with three touchdowns. The Cowboys are hoping the 6-foot-2 wide receiver can recreate that big-play ability in the NFL.

"The #Cowboys have signed former SMU wide receiver Romello Brinson," Cowboys reporter Tommy Yarrish posted on the social media platform X.

Dallas will open the 2026 season on the road against the New York Giants on "Sunday Night Football" on Sept. 13 at 8:20 p.m. ET.
