Dak Prescott, Cowboys Top Weapons Strengthening Bonds In Offseason
Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson celebrates a touchdown with quarterback Dak Prescott Kevin Jairaj-Imagn Images

The Dallas Cowboys stumbled through the 2025 season, with the defensive collapse playing a large part in the team missing out on the NFL Playoffs for a second consecutive season. That led to the firing of defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus and the hiring of up-and-coming coordinator Christian Parker.

While the defense is rebuilding, the offense appears set to roll once again with all 11 starters expected to return. And while the team gears up for the new year, star quarterback Dak Prescott is putting in some extra work to strengthen his connections with some of the team's top targets.

According to head coach Brian Schottenheimer, Prescott has been working out with breakout star wide receiver George Pickens, who was designated with the franchise tag before the start of the new league year.

Prescott has also been putting in work with Pro Bowl tight end Jake Ferguson.

It's been a difficult start to the new league year for Prescott, who has been dealing with issues in his personal life after canceling his wedding with fiancee Sarah Jane Ramos, so it's good to see that he appears to be pushing forward and working on continuing to improve his chemistry with the team so the offense doesn't miss a step leading up to a potential bounce-back season.

If Prescott and the offense can keep rolling in 2026, while the defense shows some improvement, the Cowboys have a good chance at returning to the postseason after a two-year hiatus.
