Dak Prescott, fiancée Sarah Jane Ramos expecting second daughter

The couple, first linked in September 2023, announced their engagement in October. Their first daughter, Margaret Jane Rose Prescott, was born on Feb. 29 of this year. While Prescott and Ramos are keeping their next baby girl’s first name under wraps until birth, they revealed their daughter’s middle name to be Rayne, honoring the 31-year-old’s first name.

“It’s really special to be a female in this world in this day and age and to watch your siblings grow up and be empowered, taking notes and using you as an example, but [also] being themselves and growing into what makes them their own person,” Ramos told Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. “It’s so beautiful to watch and I can’t wait to do the same with MJ and watch Dak become a girl dad, part two. He’s perfect. He’s the best girl dad ever.”

Dak Prescott recovering from season-ending hamstring surgery

It’s more good news for Prescott off the field following one of, if not his most challenging year on it. Prescott is currently recovering from season-ending hamstring surgery last month. He sustained the injury in the third quarter of the 27-21 Week 9 road defeat to the Atlanta Falcons. Dallas placed Prescott on injured reserve, thus ending his season.

Prescott had an up-and-down year after signing a lucrative contract extension ahead of the season, which made him the NFL’s highest-paid player. He completed 64.7% of his passes – the second-worst rate of his career – for 1,978 yards, 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions.

He described 2024 as “definitely one of the toughest” years of his career.

“It’s been a roller coaster, all the highs and then just throwing a couple of lows in there,” Prescott said last Tuesday. “For me, it’s about counting my blessings and not the trials that I’m going through and facing … They’re all worth it when you come home, and you see Margaret Jane and Sarah Jane, and you get to be home.

“You forget about all that and take that perspective in and get to be a father and a fiancé for a second. … It’s about for me about trying to just stay level and not ride quite the highs and the lows as much.”
