Dallas Cowboys quarterback Prescott had a few special visitors watching him Tuesday for the first official practice of training camp.

Prescott is entering his 10th season with the Cowboys. There are a few major questions surrounding his outlook for this fall strictly because he's coming off a brutal injury. During the 2024 season, Prescott's hamstring tendon partially tore off the bone. He underwent season-ending surgery and missed nine games.

When the Cowboys took the field for the start of training camp, Prescott let reporters know that he was going to take things a bit slow. Make no mistake though, he expects to be ready for Week 1.

"I'm getting close to where I want to be, I don't want to put a percentage on it," Prescott said. "I know we've got team activities coming up, imagine myself being involved in some sort, if not all. Then again, I just understand my age, what I've had, what I've went through, it's about being my best in the fall. So I'm not rushing anything, but I'm where I want to be."

Prescott's injury situation wasn't the talk of training camp this week. Instead, it was his heartfelt encounter with his fiancée, Sarah Jane Ramos, that had people buzzing.

After wrapping up practice Tuesday afternoon, Prescott and Ramos spent time on the field with their two daughters, Margaret Janet Rose and Aurora. Prescott's fiancée and daughters wore matching cowboy outfits at the practice facility in California. It was one of those moments that's truly bigger than sports.

Prescott and Ramos welcomed their first child, MJ Rose, into the world in February 2024. Fast forward to May 2025, and they announced the birth of Aurora.

"I'm blessed. I'm blessed to have the opportunity to raise two girls alongside my fiancée. To have a beautiful family, healthy family," Prescott said. "For me, it's just about being grateful and not taking a moment for granted when I'm with them. But, I've been through things in my life that I don't necessarily think fatherhood just showed me something new.

"I understand the love my mom had for me, in a different way now that I have kids. But, I think when you've had some diversity that I've had, you're so thankful. You're so thankful for everything that you're given. Good and the bad. Anything in between that. Fatherhood's no different now and just makes me even more focused on the small moments."

During the 2023 NFL season, Prescott credited his "dad strength" for his MVP-caliber numbers.

"It's dad strength is why I'm playing that way," Prescott said. "Super exciting, it really is ... I'm blessed. Thankful. Everyone knows what my mom means to me. Being able to raise a little girl, I'm excited for the challenges. It's not going to be easy, especially being my daughter — or being a Prescott — but I'm looking forward to every bit about it."

Prescott will try to make his family proud on Sept. 4 when the Cowboys take on the Philadelphia Eagles in their season opener.
