Dak Prescott turned in one of his best performances of the season for the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night. The three-time Pro Bowl quarterback led his team to an upset win against the defending champs, the Philadelphia Eagles, 24-21.

After going down 21-0 against Jalen Hurts and Co., the Cowboys battled back to steal away the victory. Prescott was outstanding in this one, registering 23-of-36 completed passes for 354 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. The 32-year-old scored a game-tying eight-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter. Prescott also led the Cowboys’ final drive, which resulted in a Brandon Aubrey game-winning field goal from 42 yards as time expired.

The Cowboys improved to 5-5-1 after Sunday’s massive win. They marked their second consecutive victory following Week 11’s impressive 33-16 win against the Las Vegas Raiders. In the process, Dallas also handed the champs their first loss in five games.

Prescott’s performance drew a double announcement from the Cowboys on Sunday. The first one came in the third quarter after a nine-yard pass to wide receiver George Pickens. Prescott recorded his 34,192nd passing yard on that play, surpassing Tony Romo for the most passing yards in Cowboys franchise history.

Prescott wasn’t done either. After making history during the game, the former Mississippi State Bulldogs star went on to extend his record for most home wins against his division. The Cowboys took to social media again after the final whistle to make their second announcement about their franchise quarterback.

“Dak Prescott (@dak) improved his home record against the NFC East to 22-2, a .917 win percentage which is the highest home winning percentage by any quarterback against one’s own division since the NFL merger.

“Prescott has also won 19 consecutive home games against the NFC East,” Dallas Cowboys Public Relations posted on X.

For context, the closest quarterback to Prescott’s record (at least 15 games) is legendary New York Jets QB Joe Namath, who has a .906 home win percentage against the Eastern Division.

Prescott will get a chance to add to his tally in Dallas’ next game. This comes in the form of a high-profile Thanksgiving matchup against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday. It’s a quick turnaround for both teams, which play twice in five days.
