The Dallas Cowboys may not have made the NFL playoffs in the 2024 NFL season after winning just seven games, but they are still a big draw, regardless of which day of the week they play.
In 2025, the Cowboys will have four Thursday games, and if that seems quite a lot, it’s because it is.
“COWBOYS MAKE HISTORY WITH 4 THURSDAY GAMES IN SINGLE SEASON,” read the text on the graphic shared by BR/Gridiron on its official X (formerly Twitter) account.

The first Thursday game for the Cowboys in the upcoming season will also be their first of the campaign, as they travel to the City of Brotherly Love to face NFC East division rival and reigning Super Bowl champions Philadelphia Eagles.
But most of Dallas’ Thursday assignments will be in the second half of the season, with three happening from Week 13 to Week 17. Dallas takes on Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in Arlington on Thanksgiving Day in Week 13 before squaring off with the Detroit Lions in Week 14 on the road. The Cowboys’ final Thursday game takes place in Landover, as they visit Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders in Week 17.
