The Dallas Cowboys have high hopes entering the upcoming 2025 NFL season. With training camp in full swing, the team has already suffered a massive injury scare.

Tyler Guyton, the team’s first round pick at No. 29 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, went down with what was feared to be a season-ending injury. In a twist of luck, that was not the case.

According to a report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the 24-year-old offensive tackle will miss 4-to-6 weeks due to a bone fracture. It’s a great change of pace for the Cowboys, who suffered through major injury issues throughout the entire 2024 season.

With that timeline, Guyton should be back on the field close to Week 1, even if he does have to miss a game or two.

Dallas Cowboys Catch Massive Injury Break With Tyler Guyton

Jerry Jones is expecting a big step in the right direction from Dallas this season. He made a head coaching change during the offseason, replacing Mike McCarthy with Brian Schottenheimer.

Also, the Cowboys made quite a few roster moves. They added players on both sides of the football in an attempt to get back to being a serious contender in the NFC.

Guyton is going to be a huge part of the team’s offensive plan. Keeping Dak Prescott upright and healthy is the obvious No. 1 priority. Without Guyton on the field, that task would be much more difficult.

Thankfully, with this new update, it sounds like Guyton will be back much sooner rather than later. Dallas caught one break, but there are still a lot of nerves after the 2024 season.

On the outside looking in, the Cowboys look to be a potential contender. However, being able to stay healthy will be a massive factor in whether or not that becomes a reality.
