Dallas Cowboys Roster: New Contracts, Free Agency Future
Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

The Dallas Cowboys have a present, and it sits right there for the taking with Sunday's NFC Playoff Wild Card game against the visiting Green Bay Packers.

But right around the corner comes a future - a future that will not include all of these same players (or coaches) who have keyed a 12-5 season under coach Mike McCarthy.

Who could be gone after 2023? We know all about the "hot'' candidacy of defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, who already has interview requests from Washington and Carolina. What about players?

The list of coming free agents includes ... Dorance Armstrong, Tyler Biadasz, Rico Dowdle, Chuma Edoga, Dante Fowler, Neville Gallimore, Stephon Gilmore, Johnathan Hankins Jayron Kearse, Jourdan Lewis, Tony Pollard, Trent Sieg and Tyron Smith.

Some of those guys signed one-year contracts, so it was understood they might be short-termers. Others are part of a big-picture plan that allows them to leave (via overpayment elsewhere?) and then collect the future compensatory pick.

And others are going to mean big decisions? Which ones? And how do the negotiation of contracts with Micah Parsons and CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott figure in?

We discuss it all in the Fish Podcast and the Fish Report here!
