Since entering the NFL in 2020, Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs has proved to be a valuable defender. With two Pro Bowls and one First-Team All-Pro selection under his belt, he's one of the Cowboys' best players.
However, to start the 2025 season, he's struggled, being targeted five times, allowing five completions, 113 yards, two touchdowns and a 158.3 passer rating.
He has the opportunity to bounce back, though, on Sunday, with a matchup against the 0-2 Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.
Chicago's offense hasn't been particularly amazing when airing the ball out, ranking 18th in total pass yards per game (201.5). Their 22.5 points per game also rank 15th in the NFL, making them pretty average.
However, considering the Bears' solid wide receiver group consisting of DJ Moore, Rome Odunze and rookie Luther Burden III, stopping them wouldn't have been an easy task.
Unfortunately, though, he may not even get the chance, because on Saturday, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo revealed the Cowboys added Diggs to the injury report due to a knee problem. That makes the cornerback's availability against the Bears questionable.

It's a big blow for Dallas' defense, which will already not have cornerback DaRon Bland, who has already been ruled out due to a foot injury.
There's still hope Diggs will be available, but the Cowboys have taken several precautions. That includes elevating cornerbacks Zion Childress and Robert Rochell from the practice squad, according to The Athletic's Jon Machota.
After giving up 37 points in their Week 2 win over the New York Giants, the Cowboys may struggle to bounce back, especially if they're without two of their best defenders.
