Slay talked about how when you see a star quarterback go to the locker room and a young quarterback comes in, the defense gets a boost of excitement. It is often easier to rattle young quarterbacks so Slay and the rest of the defense were looking forward to getting some turnovers. This did not happen as Love came in a ran the offense well. His speaking out shows he was truly impressed with Love’s play.

When Will We See More Jordan Love?

Aaron Rodgers confirmed that he is planning on starting this week against the Bears. He has been very vocal about playing if there is a chance the Packers can make the playoffs. The most recent percentages give the Packers a two percent chance of making the playoffs. Basically, one more loss eliminates them. This means we could see Love play the last three to four games of the season. One of the offseason decisions is whether to pick up Love’s fifth-year option. If Love plays like he did Sunday night, the Packers will want to secure him for another year.
