A lot of NFL stars tend to slow down whenever they move past their prime. The age at which it usually happens is 30 years old. However, some stars often defy these numbers and even win awards despite expectations. Davante Adams of the Los Angeles Rams is expected to be one of these veteran standouts.
PFF finally released their 'Top 30 Over 30' list for the coming 2025 season . Despite the rough 2024 campaign that Davante Adams had, the prestigious organization posits that the Rams, led by Sean McVay and Les Snead, will help the elite wide receiver.
The surprise even further extended to the fact that Matthew Stafford is already growing old, and it might cause issues for the Rams during the 16-game run.
Adams had a dismal 2024 season, riddled with a lot of systematic adjustments from the New York Jets and Las Vegas Raiders. He failed to make a Pro Bowl selection for the second year in a row. His total receiving yards also took a big hit. The 1,063 receiving yards that he got was the lowest Adams registered since the 2019 season.
Stafford and McVay clearly need to help Adams get back to his groove. Adams will play a crucial role in stretching the field for someone like Cooper Kupp and his performance in doing so will determine the versatility of the Rams offense.
The new Rams wide receiver clearly has the chops to become an All-Pro caliber weapon once again. Will he be able to reclaim his lost glory?
