Davante Adams News Emerges Before Seahawks Game

Veteran wide receiver Davante Adams is in danger of missing his first game for the Los Angeles Rams due to an oblique injury. The three-time All-Pro wide receiver has played all nine games for L.A. this season since joining the team via free agency. Heading into Sunday’s contest against the Seattle Seahawks, Adams already has 42 catches for 568 yards. He is currently leading the entire NFL in receiving touchdowns with nine.

Adams, however, is nursing an oblique injury and is officially listed as questionable to play against Seattle on Sunday. A new report emerged on Saturday night, and it appears that Adams will be available for the Rams.

Adams suffered an oblique injury in the Rams’ 42-26 blowout win over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 10. The veteran wideout was forced to exit the game in the fourth quarter and was unable to return. Adams finished with six catches for 77 yards (both team-highs) and one touchdown.

Rams head coach Sean McVay did not seem overly concerned with Adams’ injury during the former’s postgame press conference. In fact, McVay revealed that Adams could have potentially returned if the game had been closer.

Adams missed practice on Wednesday and was a limited participant on Thursday and Friday. However, McVay told reporters on Friday that he expects the six-time Pro Bowler to suit up against the Seahawks.

On Saturday night, a crucial update on Adams' injury emerged. Senior NFL reporter Adam Schefter of ESPN announced the news on social media.

“Rams WR Davante Adams, listed as questionable for Sunday due to an oblique injury, is expected to play vs. the Seahawks, per source,” Schefter posted on X.

While the Rams have yet to officially clear Adams for the game, at least as of writing, McVay’s statement, coupled with Schefter’s report, points to the notion that the star wideout will be on the field against the Seahawks on Sunday.

The Rams and the Seahawks both have a 7-2 record entering Sunday’s contest. Both sides are coming off four straight wins ahead of what should be an exciting NFC West rivalry showdown.
