Davante Adams: Packers players don't talk about Aaron Rodgers situation

Apparently, Packers players aren't discussing the Aaron Rodgers situation and what it will mean if the reigning MVP doesn't return to Green Bay in 2021. 

Packers wide receiver Davante Adams said players are focused on preparing for the upcoming season and that they trust Rodgers to take care of his own business.

"Honestly, it's not even something that we truly talk about like that. It's just, everybody's been dialed into what they got to do. There's enough to worry about with themselves than to be going and worrying about what other guys are doing and what their situation is like, especially when we can't control any of that," Adams told Fox News. "I think everybody's mindset, everybody is going to love Aaron the same way when he returns, and obviously it's been a little bit of a confusing situation but there hasn't been any negative talk or anything like that. Everybody's behind him."

Rodgers reportedly does not want to return to Green Bay unless general manager Brian Gutekunst is fired. However, the Packers have no intention to trade the veteran signal-caller, who did not participate in Green Bay's offseason program.

With no end in sight to the Rodgers situation, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur told Jordan Love as he left for summer break to continue preparing to be the starter this season. 

The young quarterback made plenty of progress this offseason, and LaFleur appears confident he will rise to the challenge if need be. Still, it's not ideal for the Packers to head into the 2021 season with Love as their starter, especially because he doesn't have a lick of NFL experience yet.
